From the 14th to 22nd of September 2019, the NZ Department of Conservation (DOC) is celebrating their 50th conservation week.
To help celebrate over 50 years of focus on conserving New Zealand's wildlife and to encourage the community to get more involved in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and conservation, WReNNZ is holding a Facebook Photo Competition.

Each person can submit a maximum of 5 images and an email contact address must be provided with all images submitted.

The content of the photograph needs to be of wildlife that you have observed and photographed in the wild, whether that be in your backyard or on a nature walk in the bush.
All photos must be submitted by their photographer who is granting WReNNZ permission to share the images.
We would love a few details on how you came to capture the image and if you'd like to share the extra information, we'd love to hear why wildlife conservation is important to you.
Trained and licenced wildlife rehabilitators can also submit photos of wildlife in care.
WReNNZ Committee will select the top 25 entries on the 23/9/2019 and they will then be made available for public vote. The finalists will be posted on WReNNZ Facebook page so be sure to visit and vote for your favourite finalist.
The winner will be announced on the 30/9/19.
The winning photograph will become the featured home page image on WReNNZ site for the next 12 months, the top 12 finalists will be featured in a 2020 Wildlife Calendar for WReNNZ and all finalists may be featured in other WReNNZ promotional material online and offline.
